Private Equity Firm Acquires York Risk Services for $1.3B

Onex, a Canadian private equity firm, has completed its acquisition of the third-party administrator York Risk Services. Onex purchased York for $1.325 billion, with a total equity investment of about $555 million, according to an Oct. 1 press release. ABRY Partners is the former owner of York. According to the company's website, York offers claims administration, care management and risk management with a specialty in property, casualty and workers' compensation claims.
