Unknown scammers might have pilfered more than $317,000 from a bank account used to pay work comp claims for Baltimore city workers, according to a report by the city’s inspector general.
Inspector General Isabel Mercedes Cumming in a report released Tuesday said money was taken from a bank account for the city’s Law Department between November 2020 and January 2022.
