The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation ordered $424,900 in administrative penalties against insurers, medical providers, claims administrators and other system participants in the first quarter of the year.
Insurers were ordered to pay $386,700 in fines, health care providers $18,200 and other entities $20,000, the division said in a report released late Wednesday.
