Two medical associations say the Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation’s designated doctor program is facing a crisis because of dwindling participation, and scheduling and training issues — and some blame chiropractors. A committee in the state House of Representatives, meanwhile, has some concerns over scheduling issues caused by the doctors, saying that nearly half of all designated doctor appointments have to be rescheduled.
