Iowa Workforce Development has developed rules on how to prepare exhibits for workers' compensation hearings.
Released last week, the rules become mandatory on May 1. At that point, exhibits that do not comply with the rules must be resubmitted. Until then, complying with the rules is optional.
The rules require, among other things:
Treatment records to be organized by provider in chronological order.
Parties to submit a table of contents along with exhibits.
Claimants to identify exhibits numerically.
