Hearing Scheduled on Bill to Repeal Comp Commission

Alaska lawmakers will hear limited testimony about a proposal to repeal the state’s Workers’ Compensation Appeals Commission during a hearing Tuesday. Members of the Senate Labor and Commerce Committee will hear from only those invited to testify on SB 76. Sen. Bill Wielechowski, D-Anchorage, introduced SB 76 last year, but the measure was never called for a hearing and was carried over to this year’s session.
