The Maine Workers' Compensation Board has released its 2021 update to medical fee schedules for professional and outpatient services, showing a modest increase for most procedures.
The board said in a bulletin that it is required by law to annually update the fees and rules. For 2021, physicians should continue to use the fourth edition of the American Medical Association's Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment. The maximum fee for an impairment rating evaluation will remain $450.
The base rate for acute care hospitals will remain $11,122.
