Uniform Name Now Required for EAMS Filing

The California Division of Workers’ Compensation on Wednesday announced that it updated EAMS to require validation of uniform assigned names when users file applications for adjudication of a claim. Filers will receive an error prompt if they attempt to submit the document using a faulty uniform assigned name, or UAN, the division said. The new filing requirement is expected to reduce errors and processing delays, according to the DWC.
