The California Department of Consumer Affairs and Nevada County prosecutors are investigating a psychologist suspected of billing workers' compensation carriers for services that were never provided.
Representatives from the department and the prosecutor's office joined the Department of Insurance and U.S. Department of Labor in executing a search warrant Oct. 7 on Pamlyn Kelly of Grass Valley.
The investigation was prompted by a complaint to the California Board of Psychology, which referred the matter to the Department of Consumer Affairs' Health Quality Investigation Unit.
