Study of Formulary Cost Savings May Boost Legislative Efforts

A Texas-style workers’ comp drug formulary might have saved the Louisiana state government as much as $2.3 million on prescription drug costs for injured state workers over 18 months, according to a report released Tuesday. The report by the Workers’ Compensation Research Institute was requested by the Office of Risk Management in the Louisiana Division of Administration.
