Gov. Phil Scott on Tuesday announced a new initiative aimed at reducing the high cost of workers’ compensation insurance for logging contractors in the state.
The Vermont Logger Safety and Workers’ Compensation Insurance Program was developed with state agencies including the Department of Labor, insurance carriers, business owners and the National Council on Compensation Insurance.
