A divided South Carolina Court of Appeals upheld a finding that a man stricken by mesothelioma was not a statutory employee of the polyester fiber plant where he had performed maintenance. Case: Keene v. CNA Holdings LLC, No. 28052, 08/11/2021, published. Facts: Hystron Fibers Inc. hired Daniel Construction Co. in 1965 to build a polyester fiber plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
