A New York appellate court ruled that a worker was entitled to summary judgment on the issue of liability for his Labor Law claim. Case: Aramburu v. Midtown West B., No. 14496 115043/09, 03/12/2015, published. Facts: Mark A. Aramburu suffered injuries to his shoulder and neck after a mishap with a heavy reel of wire. Aramburu testified that he was helping a coworker roll the reel down a plywood ramp when he slipped and fell on a patch of ice. Aramburu had been walking backwards in front of the reel, to guide it.
