Labor Cabinet Will Join National Fall Prevention Stand-Down Beginning next Week

The Kentucky Labor Cabinet will join the National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction that begins next week, the Labor Cabinet announced in a release. The stand-down, a voluntary event that allows employers to talk to employees about fall protection, runs from May 4-15. According to the release, about six Kentucky workers die each year from workplace falls, which account for about half the construction deaths in the state.
