DWC Posts Proposed Formulary Rules, Schedules May 1 Hearing

The California Division of Workers’ Compensation will hold a public hearing May 1 on proposed rules for a prescription drug formulary that were released Friday. The formulary, which was mandated by AB 1124, includes a list of “preferred drugs” that can be dispensed without the need for prospective utilization review. The 2015 bill also requires the DWC have the formulary in place by July 1.
