The New Mexico Workers’ Compensation Administration updated claims resolution rules to tweak regulations relating to consolidated cases, admissible evidence and attorney fees.
New rules that take effect Jan. 1 specify all parties to cases that have been consolidated will have access to pleadings in each individual case.
New language authorizes judges to consolidate cases with common issues or facts in dispute. And the rules require that notice of appeals include the case number for each of the consolidated cases.
