SANTA ANA, Calif. − Former Pacific Hospital of Long Beach owner Michael D. Drobot pleaded guilty to two felony charges related to his admitted role in a scheme to bilk California's workers' compensation insurance carriers out of millions of dollars by having them overpay for spinal surgeries and bribing a state senator to influence legislation to protect his long-running health care fraud scheme.
