Veteran Chief Judge Peter Calderone will retire on March 1 from his 13-year post as New Jersey's top workers' compensation judge and director of the state Davion of Workers' Compensation.
Calderone, 66, confirmed Wednesday he will be replaced by New Brunswick, N.J., Supervising Judge Russell Wojtenko, a former North Brunswick attorney was who was appointed to the bench by Gov. Chris Christie in 2011. Unlike workers' compensation judgeships, chief judges are selected by the state labor commissioner and don't have to be confirmed by the state Senate.
