Supreme Court Denies Review of Claim for LHWCA Benefits

The U.S. Supreme Court will not be reviewing a former electrician's claim to reinstate his benefits under the Longshoremen's and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act after he was fired for failing to take a restricted duty position being offered to him by his employer.The case was Cox v. DOWCP, No. 13-727.Ralph Cox had worked as an electrician for Northrop Grumman Ship Systems.
