Oregon lawmakers passed a bill that would allow physician assistants to treat injured workers and authorize payment of temporary disability benefits. The state House of Representatives on Wednesday voted 57-2 to concur with amendments made to HB 3412 while the measure was in the Senate. The amendment limited the authority of physician assistants to treat and approve TD to 180 days from the first visit on an initial claim. The Senate voted 16-12 on May 2 to pass the amended bill.
