The Washington State Department of Labor and Industries announced that it is developing new workplace safety and health rules covering wildfire smoke.
The department on Wednesday said it filed official notice of its rulemaking plans earlier in the week and that it intends to hold meetings over the coming months to begin gathering input from the public to help create a draft wildfire smoke rule.
