The California Assembly on Thursday voted 57-1 to pass a measure that would limit the ability of professional athletes who play for teams based in another state to file workers’ compensation claims in California.Assembly Bill 1309 would say an athlete who plays fewer than 90 of the 365 days in California before being injured can’t file a claim in the state.
