Net written premium dropped 10% in 2020, but workers’ compensation systems across the U.S. appear to have weathered the COVID-19 pandemic, as carriers fielded fewer virus-related claims than anticipated and wrapped up another profitable year, according to the National Council on Compensation Insurance’s annual “State of the Line” report.
