Claims Processing Administrative Factor Increasing to 18.61%

The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division announced that the claims processing administrative cost factor for 2024 is 18.61%, up from the 17.82% factor used in 2023.  The factor is used to calculate reimbursement for carriers and self-insured employers that made supplemental disability benefit payments to a preferred worker. Employers that create positions to accommodate restrictions placed on injured workers can receive premium exemptions, wage subsidies and grants under the preferred worker program.
