Violations in a Big Lots store in New York count as repeat offenses because they are similar to recent violations filed against Big Lots stores in Alabama, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania, the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration has determined in assessing the Ohio-based retailer nearly $170,000 in potential fines.According to a Nov. 18 press release, OSHA inspected the Big Lots store in West Babylon on May 15 in response to a complaint.
