Atlanta-based workers' compensation carrier Southeastern U.S. Insurance Co. has agreed to be placed into liquidation by Georgia Insurance Commissioner John Oxendine based on the substantial risk it poses for creditors, claimants, policyholders and the public, according to court documents.The eight-year-old carrier signed a consent order with Oxendine on Oct. 22 that would cancel existing policies as of Nov. 27, unless they expire earlier.The company covers an estimated 3,000 Georgia employers with 60,000 workers.
