A Florida appellate court ruled that a leaseholder was not entitled to immunity from civil liability as a statuary employer of a contractor’s injured worker. Case: Galue v. Clopay Corp., No. 3D22-661, 08/30/2023, published. Facts: Clopay Corp. entered into a lease with KTR SF II LLC for the rental of a portion of a building located in Doral, which Clopay used as a storage facility.
