NAIC, IAIABC to Discuss large-deductible Policies during Teleconference

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners and the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions are hosting a teleconference next month to discuss an ongoing study of issues relating to large-deductible policies. The associations said they're focusing on "mega-deductible" policies with deductibles of more than $500,000, but a worker group has suggested the study be expanded to focus on: Whether larger employers are using large-deductible or mega-deductible policies, self-insuring or enrolling in retrospective rating programs.
