Care Home Owner Convicted of Fraud Arrested on Probation Violation

Florinda Tambao spent two months in jail last year after she was convicted of grand theft, tax fraud and failure to carry workers' compensation insurance.  On Monday, she was arrested by investigators for the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office for allegedly violating terms of her probation.  The Contra Costa Times reports county prosecutors allege the 63-year-old Tambao has defrauded her workers out of hundreds of thousands of dollars of pay to which they were entitled, and committed tax fraud to cover her acts.
