Former Bus Driver Sentenced to Probation for Side-Hustle Double-Dipping Conviction

A former bus driver in western New York was sentenced to five years of probation for double-dipping by earning income from eBay and working for Instacart while collecting workers’ compensation benefits. The Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Antoinette Laney, 53, was sentenced Monday. She pleaded guilty to one count of grand larceny in September and signed a confession of judgment agreeing to pay more than $30,000 in restitution.
