The Village of Catawba has been hit with $4,900 in late fees and other charges after a fiscal officer, who is the spouse of Village Council President Matt Warner, failed to file documents on time with the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the Public Employee Retirement System, the Dayton Daily News Reported.
Amanda Warner was hired in July 2013 and paid $425 a month before resigning her position in February.
In January, the council had learned about the missing state paperwork and various unpaid bills, Mayor Mark Skiba told the newspaper.
