The California Division of Workers’ Compensation updated four chapters of the state’s medical treatment guidelines, and added a new section covering post-traumatic stress disorder and acute stress disorder.
The DWC on Tuesday posted to its website an order adopting changes to the Medical Treatment Utilization Schedule that were proposed in January. The updates are effective for medical treatment provided on or after April 18 and incorporate the most recent guidelines from the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, the division said in a statement.
