The Mississippi Court of Appeals ruled that a factory worker who was fired one day after his doctor reported he would need surgery for an eye injury was not wrongfully terminated. Case: Lott v. Corinthian, No. 2013-CA-01473-COA, 5/12/2015, published. Facts: Bobby Lott worked for Corinthian as an at-will employee for its upholstery department. He claimed one of the legs on an ottoman hit him in the eye while he was working on Jan. 18, 2010.
