The number of workers applying for payments from the $120 million Return-to-Work Supplement Fund Program created by Senate Bill 863 has increased consistently since it went live in April 2015, according to data provided by the Department of Industrial Relations.
More applications were submitted in August than in any other month, and the DIR’s data shows that the total number of workers who will receive supplemental benefit checks this year is on pace to hit the low-end of estimates prepared by the Rand Center for Health and Safety in the Workplace.
