Applied Underwriters Sues CDI, Lara Over Conservatorship Efforts

A day after the California Department of Insurance’s Conservation and Liquidation Office presented to the San Mateo County Superior Court its plans for California Insurance Co., a company formerly affiliated with the embattled carrier filed a lawsuit with the federal court in Sacramento accusing the commissioner of abusing his discretion and a half dozen constitutional violations.
