Missouri would join the vast majority of U.S. states in adopting a medical fee schedule under a bill that has been introduced by perennial worker’s compensation reformer Sen. Dave Schatz.
Senate Bill 601, filed one week ago, does not specify the type of fee schedule, including whether it should be tied to Medicare. The proposal would simply direct the Division of Workers’ Compensation to produce a medical fee schedule by Dec. 1, 2018, and implement it on Jan. 1, 2019.
