Zenefits Ordered to Pay $25,000 for Unlicensed Sale of Insurance

The Idaho Department of Insurance on Monday said it issued an order requiring Zenefits FTW Insurance Services to pay an administrative penalty of $25,000 for knowingly allowing unlicensed employees to sell insurance. Zenefits, a human resources tech firm offering staffing, workers’ compensation coverage and other services, in November 2015 reported “a number of producer compliance issues” to regulatory agencies throughout the country, the Idaho Department of Insurance said.
