Court Revives Worker's Claim for Benefits From Baseball Bat Attack by Colleague

The Arkansas Court of Appeals on Wednesday overturned the Workers' Compensation Commission and awarded benefits to a municipal employee who was attacked by a colleague with a baseball bat. While there was evidence of animosity brewing between Leroy Dorn Jr. and Bruce Spicer, the court said Dorn’s claim should not have been denied because he did not willingly engage Spicer in the parking lot of their mutual workplace.
