The Los Angeles County Probation Department has arrested one of its peace officers on charges of falsifying documents to receive sick pay.
The department's "Special Project Team," which was formed to root out workers' compensation and medical fraud, arrested officer Kimberly Evans on March 20, according to an article in the Santa Clarita Valley Signal. The department alleges that she altered medical documents to receive $1,707.20 during a period she marked down as sick pay.
