The owner of a flooring company in Northern California was ordered to pay $580,000 in restitution after pleading guilty to premium fraud and wage theft charges.
The Santa Clara District Attorney’s Office said Martin Helda intentionally underreported payroll at his company, All Bay Floor, in a scheme to avoid $140,000 in premiums that he would have owed had he reported payroll accurately.
