U.S. Life Faces Workers Comp Probe

IMMS 01/11/00 The California Department of Insurance (DOI) has issued subpoenas to the United States Life Insurance Company (New York, NY) based on the carrier's attempts to rescind its Workers Compensation reinsurance contracts with Superior National Insurance Co., a California-based Workers Comp carrier. According to DOI spokesperson Norris Clark, U.S. Life wants to back out of the $200 million to $400 million deal....
