Stone Point Capital, a private equity firm with a history of striking deals in the workers' compensation industry, has become the largest single investor in the brokerage Alliant Insurance Services.
Details of the deal were unclear in a press release Alliant issued Tuesday -- the statement did not reveal the size of Stone Point's investment, what the funds might be used for or whether Stone Point is now a majority shareholder in Alliant.
