Electrocution Leads to Proposed $331K Fine

A Pennsylvania contractor is facing proposed federal penalties of $331,101 after a worker was electrocuted at a Johnstown job site. Insight Pipe Contracting LLC, of Harmony, Pennsylvania, was cited Oct. 4 by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration. OSHA also placed the company in its Severe Violator Enforcement Program. The company has 15 business days to contest its citations.
