Oregon's Occupational Safety and Health Division will hold a conference focusing on workplace safety and best health practices for employers in the Northwest pulp and paper industry Dec. 2 through Dec. 5 in Portland.
Twenty-eight workshops and a handful of roundtable discussions will explore the unique hazards of the forest product industry. Special workshops will focus on hazard assessment and mitigation, lockout/tagout procedures, logging and sawmill safety and safety leadership.
