Pharmacies Accuse PBM Catamaran of Unfair Reimbursement Policies

More than 300 pharmacies throughout the country have filed a lawsuit accusing pharmacy benefit manager Catamaran Corp. of illegally setting unreasonably low reimbursement rates for prescription drugs. With each pharmacy claiming to have suffered damages in excess of $75,000, the plaintiffs are seeking an award that would exceed $22.5 million.
