The owner of staffing firm in central Massachusetts was charged with scheming to evade more than $110,000 in workers’ compensation premiums, state Attorney General Maura Healey announced on Wednesday.
Sovane Kien, 56, was indicted by a Worcester County grand jury Tuesday on six counts of workers’ compensation fraud and six counts of larceny. He will be arraigned Oct. 22.
Kien owns and operates People’s Temp Services Inc. The Attorney General alleges Kien underreported the number of employees and how much he was paying to his workers from August 2012 through August 2018.
