A divided Louisiana appellate court declined review of an intentional tort action against a refinery owner and contractor based on a worker’s drowning. Case: In re Matthews v. Turner Industries Group LLP, No. 2020-CC-00493, 06/22/2020, published. Facts: Jerome Matthews worked for HydroChemPSC. In July 2018, his employer sent him to the Phillips 66 Company Alliance Refinery in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.
