The Florida Division of Workers' Compensation has issued a request for proposals on re-employment and vocational evaluation services for injured workers.
Under state law and division rules, workers may request, and compensation judges may assign, injured workers to be evaluated for vocational assistance when an injury or recovery prevents a return to their regular line of work, the DWC announced this week.
The division then assigns the worker to a qualified firm that has contracted with the division.
