The Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board on Tuesday posted for public comments revisions to its proposed Rules of Practice and Procedure that would, among other things, eliminate language that employers say would have eroded potential savings from Senate Bill 863 by allowing interpreters to file petitions for costs rather than liens.The revised rules clarify that “cost” means a claim for reimbursement of expense or payment of a service that is not allowable as a lien “against compensation” under Labor Code Section 4903.
