Florida’s legislative session certainly didn’t end quietly on Friday, but on the workers’ comp front, stakeholders say it was one of the quietest sessions in recent memory.
And though an unresolved battle over the state budget makes the Legislature’s return for a special session inevitable, it doesn’t appear any comp-related action will come out of that, either – except, perhaps, if the state Supreme Court issues a decision on one of the pivotal workers’ compensation cases on its docket before that special session begins.
